The success criteria of the hemostasis model for upper limb trauma amputation

The upper limb trauma amputation hemostasis model is mainly used to train hemostasis techniques in clinical first aid, helping trainees master emergency handling in severe trauma situations. Its success criteria mainly include the following points:

First of all, trainees should be able to quickly determine the location and amount of bleeding within the prescribed time and select an appropriate hemostasis method.

Secondly, hemostasis operations should comply with clinical norms. For instance, when using acupressure for hemostasis, compression bandaging or tourniquet, the position should be correct and the force appropriate. It should not be too loose to cause continuous bleeding, nor too tight to lead to ischemic necrosis of distal tissues.

Thirdly, after the operation, the model should be able to show a significant reduction in blood flow until it completely stops, indicating that the hemostasis is effective.

Fourth, after fixing the hemostatic device, the distal circulation condition should be checked and the patient should be simulated to be informed of relevant precautions.

Fifth, the entire process requires prompt and standardized actions, demonstrating teamwork and first aid awareness.

Finally, after the training is completed, the model should be cleaned and inspected to ensure it works properly for the next use. If the above standards are met, it can be determined that the trainee has achieved success in the training of upper limb amputation hemostasis skills.
