Operating specifications for advanced infant leg venipuncture models

The advanced infant leg venipuncture model is a highly realistic teaching device specially designed for clinical skills training, mainly used to help medical staff master the standard operation methods of infant lower extremity venipuncture. This model is designed according to the anatomical scale of infants. The blood vessels in the legs are clearly flowing, the skin is soft and elastic, and the touch is realistic. It can simulate the puncture feel and blood return effect in real clinical operations.

The main function:

1. According to the anatomical characteristics of the baby's legs, imported plastic materials are used to simulate the baby's legs, and the bones, skin, muscles, blood vessels, etc., are designed with the same size.

2. During venipuncture, there is an obvious sense of disappointment, and there is blood returning.

3. Perform dorsal venipuncture, great saphenous vein puncture, small saphenous vein puncture, and foot root puncture.

The operation norms first emphasize the principle of asepsis. Trainees must strictly follow the steps of washing hands, wearing gloves and disinfecting the skin during training to avoid the risk of infection. Secondly, the selection of veins and the placement of the body position are important. Generally, the great saphenous vein or the dorsal foot vein is chosen as the puncture site, and the infant's lower limbs are appropriately fixed to prevent movement during the operation. During the puncture process, the needle tip should be kept at an Angle of 15 to 30 degrees to the skin. The needle should be inserted slowly. When a sign of blood return appears, it indicates that the blood vessel has been entered. At this point, the Angle should be reduced, the needle tube should be pushed forward and the needle should be fixed properly.

This model is usually equipped with a simulated circulatory system, which can produce a realistic blood return effect after successful puncture, allowing trainees to receive immediate feedback. Some advanced versions also feature multiple puncture points, allowing for repeated practice without affecting structural integrity, which is conducive to skill consolidation. Through standardized training of the model, medical staff can master the core essentials of venous puncture in infants' legs, reduce clinical operation risks, and increase the success rate of establishing venous access. This standardized drill not only ensures the safety of the children patients but also provides a scientific and reliable training platform for clinical nursing teaching.
