The acupuncture bronze figure model is a traditional and historically and culturally valuable tool for acupuncture teaching. Its prototype can be traced back to the Song Dynasty and was made to test the medical practitioners' mastery of meridians and acupoints. Modern acupuncture bronze figure models are mostly cast to the scale of real people, made of metal or copper alloys. The surface is engraved with the positions of the fourteen meridians and some extraordinary acupoints outside the meridians, and the acupoints are marked with lines, numbers or small holes. Some high-end models can be filled with water inside to simulate the ancient "acupuncture examination" scene. Its significance lies in the intuitive display of meridians and acupoints, enabling learners to master the location, direction and depth of acupoints in a three-dimensional structure, which is more spatial than a planar map. On the right side of the body are 361 meridian points, 48 external meridian points and the bone degree line, which conveniently measures the distance between acupuncture points in "cun".

On the left side of the body is the subcutaneous tissue, which shows the distribution of the nervous system, arteries and veins, blood vessels and muscle structure. It also indicates the acupoints outside the meridians on the hands and feet that are not marked on the main meridian lines.
